About the Event

We live in the heart of an abundant mountain biking network and are overwhelmed, in a good way, by the number of new riders joining the local riding community, but more so at the lack of education around how to embark on your journey. 

Did a friend or a spouse encourage you to join them for a ride at Durham Forest and you have no idea what you’re doing, but you’re totally hooked?! Or maybe you’re chasing after one of your kids in the maze of trails?  If you are just starting out and have no idea what you are doing - from what to eat before, during, or after, what to bring with you, and what the heck you should be doing when you’re on the trails, then you need to participate in this free workshop. 

Join Expert Mountain Bike Instructor, Charlotte Batty, and Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Natalie Purchase, in this two-part Wellness Workshop. With over twenty years of experience in the mountain bike industry, Charlotte will educate you on the techniques and tactics to become a confident, efficient, and safer mountain biker.  In Part Two Natalie will teach you how to use food and supplements to manage fatigue and improve your endurance on the bike.
