6 Week Better-Your-MTB Program
When you graduate from the School of Tech, you will:

✓ Walk your bike less and experience less frustration with challenging obstacles and trails
✓ Ride safer
✓ Increase your confidence
✓ Have a strong foundation on the bike
✓ Have a better relationship with your bike
✓ Have new people to connect and ride with
✓ Have a new way that you enjoy improving your fitness and health
The School of Tech was created for those who are:
+ In your second, third, or maybe the fourth year of trail riding.
+ Tired of riding the same green and easier blue level trails but are struggling to take your riding to the next level.
+ Frustrated with not being able to ride sections of the trail and are tired of walking your bike around them, crashing, and maybe even injuring yourself.
+ Wanting to ride more difficult and challenging obstacles such as logovers, rock gardens, rooty/rocky downhills and uphills, and small drops comfortably and confidently.
+ Seeing what other riders are conquering and can’t figure it out.
+ Looking for people to ride with and a community to be a part of.
+ Looking for an outdoor hobby that you enjoy and will improve fitness and health.
What you will learn in the School of Tech:
✓ Bike Setup and maintenance. We'll show you how to prepare your bike for riding, how to do a safety check, and how to set up your bike for you.
✓ Minii's Mountain Bike Recipe - How to self-assess and correct your own riding on the fly.
✓ Body positioning balance - Refine and correct the fundamental body positions that will help you stay relaxed and mobile through more advanced terrain.
✓ Braking & Gearing - Refine and correct proper braking and gearing/shifting techniques.
✓ Better Bike Handling Skills - Drills specifically designed to challenge and better your balance and bike handling skills (i.e. trackstands).
✓ Line Selection: How to safely and successfully navigate through technical sections (i.e. rock gardens) of the trail.
✓ Climbing - Conquer technical (rooty and rocky) climbs with efficiency and avoid unnecessary fatigue.
✓ Descending - Tackle technical descents (rooty and rocky) with confidence.
✓ Cornering - Learn the techniques to safely ride berms, switchbacks, and back-to-back corners.
✓ Front & Back Wheel Lifts - Learn how to smoothen out your riding by lifting both wheels over obstacles (up to 12"). If skill level permits, we will introduce bunnyhops.
✓ Small drops - introduction to riding small drops (up to 12") and maybe even some airtime!
Our professional, knowledgeable and inspiring instructors break down the above fundamental skills into simple and actionable steps that are easy to remember. Utilizing drills, we’ll practice them first in a safe and controlled environment before taking our newly learnt skills to the trails! By the end of the School of Dirt, you will be comfortably, confidently and consistently executing the above fundamental skills.
Build confidence. Ride safer. Meet other riders.

We look forward to riding with you!
Thanks, Charlotte! I really appreciate the things we learnt during the program. A few eye-opening changes to my rides from now on, and I am already experiencing more confidence on the trails.
An all-around excellent course. Charlotte certainly is technically very advanced. She quickly built up a skill set from week one through to our final week of being able to jump obstacles and do more technically advanced features. The pace is solid and the learning is critical. You go from being somebody who rides a mountain bike to someone who knows how to position themselves appropriately given the terrain, braking strategies, how to take jumps and how to get over obstacles with relative ease. After the program, you’ll be far more confident because you actually know what you are doing rather than guessing at most of it. I highly recommend the course and Charlotte!
